Fire tests

Flammability testing is one of the most important testing procedures for home textiles and building materials, among other things. Due to the burning behaviour of textiles, life-threatening situations can occur in closed rooms. To avoid this it is necessary to check the burning properties of textiles in advance. D-LAB offers you a selection of suitable firing tests:

  • Testing and classification of fire and drip behaviour according to DIN EN 13773 for curtains and drapes
  • Burning behaviour of building materials and components according to DIN 4102-1 B1
  • Burning behaviour of vehicle interiors according to DIN 75200
  • Flammability of upholstered furniture according to DIN EN 1021-1, DIN EN 1021-2 and BS 5852

Fire behavior of building materials and components DIN 4102-1

To quality as Bulding material B1 (flame resistant material), the requirements of “Kleinbrennerprüfung” B2 in compliance with DIN 4102-1 and the fire shaft test B1 in compliance with DIN 4102-16 must be met.
