Colour fastness describes the resilience of colours and prints against fading when being used. Colour fastness is a quality feature of coloured textiles and is also an important basis for care recommendation. Care recommendations are based to a large extent upon colour fastness tests. The colour fastness depends upon the processing method in the preparation as well as the used dyestuffs.
